Stampin' Up! Pretty Cards Series - Autumn Card

Image
Look at these beautiful products from the current Mini Catalogue! The Gilded Autumn DSP has stunning copper elements that match wonderfully with the metallic ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.   I achieved this look with the leaves by taking some Shimmery White Cardstock (best for watercolour) and did a watercolour background with Petal Pink and Crumb Cake inks - see my blog post on making watercolour backgrounds with Stampin' Up! inks 😀. I then cut some leaves out with the stitched leaves dies. A little strip of DSP finishes it off nicely on the inside! Stampin' Up! Pretty Card Series - Birthday Card

Image
I have another pretty card for you again this week, and another simple one to make as well! You've gotta love a card that's simple to make, but looks good too 💕 So simple! I cut a piece of Flowers for Every Season DSP at an angle and adhered it to layer piece of Whisper White cardstock. I wrapped a length of Flowers for Every Season Ribbon where the DSP meets the white and held it in place with some sticky tape at the back, then take another length to tie a bow. I do the ribbon this way to get a smooth look and use glue dots to hold the ribbon down in the right places. I stamped a sentiment from the Parcels and Petals set in Memento Black and added some In-Colour Enamel Dots, then layer this onto a card base with dimensionals to finish it off - simple! If you are interested in any of the products I have used, they're listed below with links to my store 😊 Happy stamping! x Lauren Product List Parcels & Petals Cling Stamp Set [ 149317 ] $37.00 ...

Stampin' Up! Pretty Card Series - Wonderful Card

Image
After last week's no-stamping card, this week's card is ALL stamping (with a little ribbon 😊). The flower images are from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set, and they're so beautiful that you really don't have to add much at all! The sentiment comes from the Bloom and Grow stamp set. I used Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight for the flowers, Pumpkin Pie and Memento Black for the centres, and finished with Garden Green for the leaves. This is a very simple stamping card, and a good way to give your simple card a little extra depth is to layer it with some coloured cardstock - I used Highland Heather here - and add some ribbon - I used the braided linen trim. Very simple additions to make a huge difference! Another little flower for the inside, and you've got a simple but beautiful card 😍 sometimes you just have to let the stamps do the work! If you're interested in any of the products I used, they're listed below with links to my store! Happy stamping! x...

Stampin' Up! - 'Pretty Cards' Series - Friend Card

Image
Lately, every time I sit down to create, the result is a 'pretty' card! This is usually not my go-to style - the emergence of Spring in Australia is influencing my inspiration and I love it! My card this week is completely stamp-free! 😮 Instead, I've used dies from the Stitched Shapes, Well Written, Forever Flourishing, and Nature's Thoughts sets. The background is the beautiful Scripty Embossing Folder, and a little DSP from the Peony Garden set. I used glue dots to bunch and layer my leaf dies, and to attach the linen thread. I added in some Brass Foil pieces as well to give it shine - I love it because it's more of a reflective metallic look, rather than the softer metallic style of the other foil sheets available. A simple Petal Pink strip on the inside to complete the card, and there you have it! A simple but very 'pretty' card 💗 If you are interested in any of the products I've used, there's a full list below with links to my online store. H...
