Stampin' Up! Christmas - Snowflake Wishes Card

Image
I've made a simple stamping card today from the Snowflake wishes stamp set - it's a beautiful Christmas set that has matching dies and designer series paper that uses lovely blues and purples.. Here I've made an alternative using Whisper White ink and Crumb Cake cardstock. The sentiment is stamped using gold embossing and I've added a few sequins from the woven threads sequin assortment - it's as simple as that! The white ink creates a nice subtle look, and helps to make the gold embossing stand out. I think less is more when it comes to card making, the subtle tones make for a beautiful card! Stampin' Up! Christmas - Ornamental Envelopes Set

Image
It's time!! Let me show you some of the Stampin' Up! Christmas sets! This card is a simple stamping card using the Ornamental Envelopes and Snowflake Wishes stamp sets. Those beautiful baubles are all on one stamp, so you can easily stamp them on a layering piece and colour them however you want - I've used the Stampin' Blends here (alcohol markers) in some pastel colours from the Subtle colour range. I chose the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes set, which I stamped in gold embossing on top of a smudge of Pool Party ink using a sponge dauber. A few Gilded Gems and a layer of Brass Foil Paper to finish it off, and here you have a simple but beautiful Christmas card. If you're interested in any of the products I've used, the product list is below with links to my store! Stamping with Kids! Moving Along Stamp Set

Image
This is my little stamper, Felix 😍 and he wants to show you one of our sets that is great fun for kids (and parents) - Moving Along stamp set! What I love about this set is that you can stamp an outline in black ink, then choose any colour and stamp over the top with it - then you have a perfectly coloured image. You also have the option of doing some colouring-in of the outline images. In my other life, I'm a Family Support Worker who provides support for families to encourage development through play and activities and there are so many benefits of stamping together for development! * Fine motor skills * Hand-eye coordination * Imaginative play * Learning about vehicles and colours * Parent-child bonding Here are my tips for stamping with a child: * Stamp on a surface that is ok to get a bit of ink on - we have plastic over the table so we can craft there * Wear clothes that you are ok to get a little messy - sometimes he wears a smock to protect his clothes * Teach your child

Crazy Crafters Swaps - On Stage At Home Nov 2020

Image
It's that time again! Swaps time!  If we were in normal times, I would currently be off having fun at the Stampin' Up! On Stage event that they hold twice a year for demonstrators, where I would be celebrating achievements, watching crafting demonstrations and getting a sneak peak at the new MINI CATALOGUE! But this time around, we are celebrating a different way with On Stage@Home - it's been a great alternative to the face-to-face event, but one thing we would normally get to do is SWAPS, where we make a stack of cards and swap them out with cards made by people we meet. So to make up for this, our wonderful leaders in the Crazy Crafters team, Kylie and Bruno Bertucci, have facilitated a remote swap! I sent off 10 cards and received 10 in return made by my peers 😊 For my card, I used the wonderful Well Written dies and cut out all of the white shapes - the little leaf shape and circle are shapes left from cutting out the other flowers and vines. I arranged everything on
