Stampin' Up! Hello Beautiful - Celebration Card

Image
Oooo these alcohol markers can make some really special-looking effects! This effect is easier than you think with the right tools :) Using a piece of vellum, colour patches with alcohol ink - I used Blackberry Bliss. Next, drop some isopropyl alcohol, one drop at a time, pushing the liquid around with air until it dries - I use an air blower, but you could use a straw. Repeat until you're happy with the effect! I paired this alcohol ink design with some gold elements - some leafy bits made with the Bough Punch, some Brushed Brass Butterflies, and some Gilded Leafing. I glued the Gilded Leafing using the fine tip glue pen because it doesn't dry tacky - add some glue to your cardstock, lay down the leafing, leave it to dry a bit, press it down, then brush of the excess. Simple! The sentiment comes from the Hello Beautiful set in white embossing, and cut out with the matching dies. This is a range of easy techniques that make an impressive look! I would love to see what you can

Stampin' Up! Artfully Layered - Thank you card

Image
I had to put together a VERY quick thank you card, and what better to use than some punches and DSP?? This card is so simple, yet pretty, and still holds a WOW factor! I layered a strip of designer series paper (sshhh! it's Christmas paper!) onto some Evening Evergreen cardstock and a Basic White card base. Then I punched out my shapes, stamped a sentiment onto my cloud piece and arranged then on the card with some linen thread and embellishments. So simple! If you're interested in any of the items in this card, there is a list below with links to my store. Stampin' Up! Abstract Beauty - Birthday Card

Image
Have you seen the Abstract Beauty suite?? I'm in love! 😍 The shapes! The colours! The paper! This suite includes a stamp set, a set of cards and envelopes, dies, embellishments, DSP, and a beautiful ephemera pack. For this card, I used the stamp set, dies and ephemera pack pieces, and took inspiration from the colour palate for the card backing as well. The hexagon is cut using the dies and embossed using the Greenery Embossing Folder. The flowers come from the Ephemera Pack, and I used some Matte Black Dots for embellishment.  For the backing, I cut strips of Cardstock using colours that match the product suite and layered them onto a Basic White card base. I flicked black ink from my Stampin' Write Marker and white embossed some fun chevron images below where the centrepiece would go. I used a sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set and propped it all up using Dimensionals. I cut the ribbon down the middles and tied it with some linen thread to make a messy look. If
