Stampin' Up! Retiring Set Highlight - Beautiful Friendship

Image
We are coming to the end of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue sales period, which means we are saying goodbye to some lovely products, so don't miss your chance to get these beauties (and a bargain too!). I want to show you some of my faves before they go 😢 This is the 'Beautiful Friendship' set... Oh, I'm going to miss this one! It's so pretty, and you don't have to do a lot to get a pretty card! Let me show you... The first card I made is a simple stamping card, using just cardstock and ink - this set is a great simple-stamping set because the images are so lovely that they do the work for you! I've used Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile inks, which are all In-Colours, coming to the end of their time. Next, I stepped it up just a little with some layering and a bit of ribbon. This set also has a lovely selection of sentiments - I love a set that has beautiful images mixed with lovely sentiments. That makes this set a great beginners set

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - Wonderful Card

Image
Today I have a simple stamping card for you! The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is one big "background" stamp, so that beautiful arrangement of butterflies is as simple as one stamp away! I stamped one more butterfly and cut it out to go on the front, and coloured it with Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. The sentiment comes from the "Rooted in Nature" set, and I have finished it off with some Matte Black Dots. Simple! Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - A Little Note Card

Image
Last week I showed you a card for the more avid stamper, and this week I wanted to show you the elegance of simple card. The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is, quite simply, a background stamp - and here it is in its background-stamp-glory 😀  I stamped this beautiful background stamp in white heat embossing onto vellum and then layered this onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I tied a piece of ribbon around and adhered that to a Very Vanilla card base. I layered 3 die-cut butterflies from the matching dies and coloured it with Wink of Stella. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala set and also white heat embossed onto Grey Granite cardstock and also coloured with Wink of Stella - this helped to match the shimmer from the ribbon. Finally, I raised the sentiment with dimensionals to meet the height of the butterfly. Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - Thanks Card

Image
There's a beautiful new bundle available called Butterfly Brilliance, which includes a stamp set, dies, some designer series paper, and some specialty paper: Today I want to show you a card I made using the beautiful dies from this bundle - There are 6 large butterfly dies, that have an extra die to cut out a detailed overlay, which is featured in my card today. The background is made with vellum, layered onto some white cardstock. I then used a variety of Stampin' Blends to colour the vellum, starting with the darker of the blues and working out. I then flecked it with some isopropyl alcohol to make the bubbly look. Once properly dry, I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to lay out a line of adhesive and stuck the Gilded Leafing Embellishment on top of it, pressing it down on the glue, then rubbing off the excess. It leaves an uneven smattering of gold that is just perfect! the Fine-Tip Glue Pen works great for this as it doesn't dry tacky so any exposed glue once dry will not i
