Crazy Crafters Swaps - Annual Catalogue 20/21

You may not know, but I am a member of the Kylie Bertucci's Crazy Crafters! And one of the fun things we like to do is "swaps" - it's such a great activity to do especially during these crazy times we live in because it's completely remote. We make 10 identical cards and post them to Kylie and Bruno, who redistribute them so you have 10 different cards return to you in the post!
I made mine with the new Playing with Patterns Suite - it's so colourful and fun, I've been having a great time playing with this one, and you'll get to see all of my creations over the next month as I highlight this suite!

What's fun about today's post, is you get to see 11 cards as I'm going to show you the wonderful swaps my peers have made too! 
First, a little about mine! I wanted to create a rainbow on my card, so I die cut the 'CELEBRATE' letters from the Playful Alphabet Dies in 9 different colours - I love that this set has doubles of commonly used letters so that it's easier to make words like this with 3 'E's !!
Here's a little tip - when you have a lot of small pieces (like letters) to stick down, arrange them in place, grab a low-tack strip like washi tape, pick them up in your arrangement, add adhesive, and stick them all down at once without them moving out of place. Much quicker and less fiddly 😄

Stampin' Up! One Sheet Wonder - Paper Blooms

  I made 14 beautiful cards from 1 sheet of 12"x12" (31.5cmx31.5cm) Designer Series Paper! And guess what! I got the whole stack of Designer Series Paper for free!! In the month of February, if you spend $90 or more, you can choose a free item (and this is one of the options!). I designed a breakdown of the sheet of DSP to suit Australian card sizes, and so that nothing goes to waste. I then layered each piece with some Night of Navy cardstock by adding 3mm to each measurement (that way, just a peak of colour borders the design piece).  The cute little butterflies come from the Floating & Fluttering set - it has a big stamp as part of the set that has a college of butterflies and leaves, that matches with a die in the coordinating set. I stamped 4 of these and cut them out in a flash! ...and I used all of them across the 14 cards as a feature. I used a combination of sentiments from other sets (see full list below). Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - Thanks Card

  There's a beautiful new bundle available called Butterfly Brilliance, which includes a stamp set, dies, some designer series paper, and some specialty paper: Today I want to show you a card I made using the beautiful dies from this bundle - There are 6 large butterfly dies, that have an extra die to cut out a detailed overlay, which is featured in my card today. The background is made with vellum, layered onto some white cardstock. I then used a variety of Stampin' Blends to colour the vellum, starting with the darker of the blues and working out. I then flecked it with some isopropyl alcohol to make the bubbly look. Once properly dry, I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to lay out a line of adhesive and stuck the Gilded Leafing Embellishment on top of it, pressing it down on the glue, then rubbing off the excess. Crazy Crafters Swaps - 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue

  It's swaps time again! For those of you who don't know, I'm part of the Crazy Crafters Team, and for each new catalogue, we will do "swaps" where we each make 10 of the same card, and send them off to our team leader, who mixes them up and sends us 10 different cards back. I love it because I get to see the creativity of my peers, but also some new sets that I may not have considered before :) This is the card I made and sent to my peers using the Expressions in Ink suite of products - I used some of the designer series paper to layer underneath and used the large die cut in Basic White, and made a white layer with a circle shape cut out. The sentiment was stamped in white embossing onto Basic Black cardstock and cut around the edge, then finished it with some Matte Black Dots.
