Celtic Fox Paper Craft

  For those of you who don't know, I am a member of Kylie Bertucci's Crazy Crafters, and we like to share our creativity with each other through "swaps". The occasion for these swaps are to showcase the products from the new January-June mini catalogue, and coordinating Sale-A-Bration items available January/February 2021 (get items for free when you spend $90 or more!). We each make 10 of the same card and send them off to be redistributed to other members, and get 10 different cards in return. This is the card I made for the other Crazies featuring the Ice Cream Corner Suite of products! The ice cream itself is made with the Ice Cream Builder Punch - you can make little ice cream cones in any colour you like with this nifty punch! I made mine by punching images from the beautiful coordinating Designer Series Paper.   This week, I tried something new and built a card right into the wrapping! And I love how it turned out! I like to start my gift wrapping with plain brown paper to highlight the pretty decoration - here, I've created a belly band by cutting a 5" strip of large Desiger Series Paper (this one comes from Paper Blooms that you can get for free when you spend $90 in Jan/Feb). It doesn't quite wrap all the way around this gift so I then made a 5"x5" card to bridge the gap. I used Designer Series Paper from Ice Cream Corner and a "Happy Birthday" stamp from the Sweet Ice Cream Set to make a simple card on top of the gift wrapping. It's holiday season here in Australia and I have been doing a little coastal crafting 😀 This has been my backdrop for the last week and it inspired me to create this bright and fresh card for a dear friend. I've been playing with the Gilded Leafing again and tried a different technique this time - this one is so simple - all I did was lay down a line of Stampin' Seal (glue runner) around the edge of the base card, and apply the Gilded Leafing directly to it. I took another sheet of cardstock as a top layer and adhered an array of Paper Blooms DSP and Brass Foil shapes punched with the Tailored Tag punch.  The flower has been stamped using the Pretty Perennials set and cut out with the matching dies.
