Stampin' Up! Pretty Perennials - Birthday Card

So pretty!!!! This was my favourite set that caught my eye in the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue (Jan-Jun 2021) - and it's available right now! This set is one that I chose to buy because of the beautiful card in the catalogue, so I had a go at it, and added my own twist 😊

This is a lovely set for background stamping (no, that's not DSP!) - the stamps have all you need to create a beautiful background to use as a base for your card.

Here I've had my first play with the new Gilded Gold Leafing, my goodness it's beautiful! And so easy to use! I took my versamark pad and swiped it across the cardstock and covered it with the new Heat & Stick Powder. I used a regular small paintbrush to wipe off a little of the powder so that it wasn't a neat rectangle, but more of a messy look, then set it with me Heat Tool. The powder gets sticky once heated, so I then covered it with the gold leafing and brushed off the excess.

One of the focal pieces of this set is that beautiful "happy" stamp, and I accented it by fussy-cutting around the edge to allow a white border, then sticking it to a Coastal Cabana layer and fussy-cut again for another border. The ribbon was tied around the first layer, and then I added a seperate bow - I like to do it this way because it always looks neater 😊

I raised the sentiment with Dimensionals and layered the whole thing with Coastal Cabana and on top of a white card base.

Crazy Crafters Swaps - 2021 Annual & Mini Catalogues

  In light of the new Holiday Mini Catalogue, the Crazy Crafters have been swapping again! I made 10 of these beautiful cards using new product, and I received 10 different beautiful cards in return! These lovely peaches come from the new Sweet as a Peach stamp set, that has a suite of products including a set of dies (which I used to cut out the peaches) and some Designer Series Paper. The square with the stripy design comes from the DSP, but the collection also has some other beautiful peachy designs 😋 Sometimes I like to make clean looking cards that aren't over the top with embellishments, and the peaches just give it a nice fresh look. Here's how I made my swap card: To give the peaches some depth, I inked them up with Pale Papaya ink, then used a sponge dauber to add some Cajun Craze ink. Stampin' Up! One Sheet Wonder - Paper Blooms

  I made 14 beautiful cards from 1 sheet of 12"x12" (31.5cmx31.5cm) Designer Series Paper! And guess what! I got the whole stack of Designer Series Paper for free!! In the month of February, if you spend $90 or more, you can choose a free item (and this is one of the options!). I designed a breakdown of the sheet of DSP to suit Australian card sizes, and so that nothing goes to waste. I then layered each piece with some Night of Navy cardstock by adding 3mm to each measurement (that way, just a peak of colour borders the design piece).  The cute little butterflies come from the Floating & Fluttering set - it has a big stamp as part of the set that has a college of butterflies and leaves, that matches with a die in the coordinating set. I stamped 4 of these and cut them out in a flash! ...and I used all of them across the 14 cards as a feature. I used a combination of sentiments from other sets (see full list below). Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - Thanks Card

  There's a beautiful new bundle available called Butterfly Brilliance, which includes a stamp set, dies, some designer series paper, and some specialty paper: Today I want to show you a card I made using the beautiful dies from this bundle - There are 6 large butterfly dies, that have an extra die to cut out a detailed overlay, which is featured in my card today. The background is made with vellum, layered onto some white cardstock. I then used a variety of Stampin' Blends to colour the vellum, starting with the darker of the blues and working out. I then flecked it with some isopropyl alcohol to make the bubbly look. Once properly dry, I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to lay out a line of adhesive and stuck the Gilded Leafing Embellishment on top of it, pressing it down on the glue, then rubbing off the excess.
